Hi! I’m Pam Powers,
I’m the owner and teacher at Small World Child Care and Preschool – a comprehensive in-home child care and preschool program. Since 2001, I’ve been a licensed family child care provider and Early Childhood Education (ECE) teacher in excellent standing with the State of Colorado.
I have an Experienced Child Care Provider license and an Early Childhood Professional Credential 3.0 Level 5 (which means I’ve completed college-level education for large child care Director qualifications, and I am a certified school-age, preschool, and infant-toddler teacher).
Colorado Shines Level 5 Rating
I have also been an official provider for the Denver Preschool Program for over 17 years, and a Universal Preschool Provider since its inception in 2023.
This means our program works with families and facilitates their direct enrollment into these programs to access childcare credits and free hours of care to our high-quality preschool programming.
I am proud to hold a Level 5 rating, which is the highest level of quality child care from Colorado Shines, since 2013.
Colorado Shines is the state’s quality rating and improvement system. Colorado Shine rates Colorado’s early learning programs, connects families with quality programs, and helps programs improve their quality.
A Level 5 rating shows my commitment to supporting children’s health and safety, ensuring I am well-trained and effective, and provide ya supportive learning environment to help families be active in their children’s learning.

A Denver Preschool Progam and Colorado Universal Preschool Provider.
At Small World Child Care and Preschool, I provide full-day care along with comprehensive preschool and pre-kindergarten programming for children ages 34 months through 5 years old.
My typical class size is about 7-8 students per day. Children attend between two-to-five days per week.
We support healthy development and kindergarten readiness for every child by providing positive, meaningful, developmentally-supportive guidance and experiences.
“I meet many individual needs, and strive to take all children’s learning and development to higher levels.”
